In those carefree days, DC suggested he put the Smog in parentheses, so as to keep the name recognition while subtly underminding it. That went on a couple years! The band here are Jessica Billy on fiddle - she played with Mick Turner for a number of years as well - Mike Saenz, who spent some time with Neil Hagerty's Howling Hex, and Jim White from the Dirty Three and seemingly everyone else too.
